Covenant Cleaning Services has been hiring top notch cleaners for over 26 years. During that time we have tweaked and adjusted how we hire cleaners and what we offer them.

We offer some unique perks that other cleaning companies don’t. So if you are looking for a home or office cleaning job in the Orlando, Florida area, or want to know our hiring process, read on!
General hiring criteria and steps
Let’s start with the basic hiring practices we follow. Like most other cleaning companies we welcome any and all applications regardless of gender, race, color, sexual orientation, religion, disabilities or age.
We look for trustworthy, dependable and honest workers that are team players. You do have to pass a background check. Shelley, the owner or Lisa, our main manager will interview you.
You will need a dependable vehicle as most of the time you will drive to each job. Any type of truck or car is fine. We offer a fair starting pay and give raises after a certain amount of time.
Each worker will be bonded and insured. That is our basic hiring practice and expectations. Now let’s discuss what unique perks Covenant Cleaning Services offers that others don’t!
Get paid for all your time
Like most other cleaning companies we pay by the hour. However most of them have a set number of hours they pay per job regardless of how long it actually takes you to clean it.Â
They also do not pay you for the time it takes you to drive to each job. So if they have two cleaning jobs for you one day, and each one has a 2 hour rate, you will only get paid 4 hours total.
They do not pay you for the time it takes you to drive to each job nor if it takes longer than 2 hours to clean each job. At Covenant Cleaning Services you will get an app on your phone.
Each day you come to the office. Once there you clock in on your app and your hours start. You load up all your cleaning supplies, keys to the buildings if any and meet your other team members.
Then you all go to your jobs for the day. So if you have 2 jobs one day you drive to the first one, then the second one. Once done you come back to the office, put your supplies away and so on.
Only once you are done at the office do you clock out. That way you get paid from the time you arrived at the office until you get back from all your jobs.
So you get paid for more time than the others that only pay you a set hourly time per job. Each job does have an expected time limit you normally need to meet. But we are flexible and understand sometimes a job takes longer than usual.
Get reimbursed for mileage and tolls
Not only do you get paid for your time driving to each cleaning job, you also get paid a little reimbursement per mile for how many miles it took from the time you arrive at the office until you get back.
Plus you also get paid back for tolls or parking spot cost if you clean downtown. Just hit your trip button in your car when you leave the office and write down how many miles it took once you get back to office.
If several cleaners go together in one car, whoever is driving claims the mileage, tolls and parking spot cost. I don’t think any other cleaning company around here offers that!
Flexible days, time and hours
Most of our cleaners work here part time, although we do have full time employees also. We understand most people who get cleaning jobs do it as a second job to help out.
So we offer very flexible hours. You can work a few days a week or six days a week. You can work only each Saturday to help out with your normal weekday job income.
You can work mornings, afternoons or evenings. Most of our morning and afternoon cleaning jobs are homes and apartments that need cleaning regularly.
Our evening cleaning jobs are mainly commercial and office buildings. Once they close for the day we sneak in,,, I mean go in and clean everything while they are away! 🙂
As you can see, whatever days, time and hours you are looking for, chances are we can work with you and make you a cleaning job schedule that works for you!
We supply all cleaning equipment
Not all, but many other cleaning companies expect you to use your own cleaning equipment. They want you to clean your own rags and replace dusters and gloves.
At Covenant Cleaning Services we supply all the cleaning equipment you need. When you come into the office each day you pick up everything you need for the day.
You will get your own cleaning caddy or bucket filled with bottles of cleaning spray, disposable gloves, brushes, toilet brush, dusters, toilet bowl cleaner, sponges and so on.
You will pick out a vacuum, mop bucket and mop stick, broom, floor duster, microfiber cleaning rags and more. Once done for the day you bring everything back and put them away.
You put all your dirty rags in buckets we have and we wash everything each day in our commercial washer and dryer. You get to go home with no cleaning items in your car!
PTO, raises and more
Besides all the benefits listed above you get working for Covenant Cleaning Services, there are still a few more! A list of other perks you get working for Covenant Cleaning Services are:
PTO:
Starting from your first day of work, each week you get .25 hours of paid time off added to your account. That is one full hour of PTO per month. However you can’t take any until you have been here 6 months.
Yearly bonus:
Each year you have worked at Covenant Cleaning Services you get a bonus of $50 per year. So on the anniversary of your first year you get a $50 bonus, year two you get $100 and so on. Some of our great long time workers have gotten a bonus of $600! 🙂
Raise after one year:
After you have been with the company for one full year we will evaluate you for a raise.
Holiday treats and goodies:
Each holiday we like to put out candies and treats for everyone to celebrate that holiday. We appreciate all the hard work our cleaners put in and want to spread some goodwill around.
From time to time we also put out cupcakes, snacks and even host full meals for everyone. It’s our way of saying thanks to all our wonderful employees!
We also have snacks you can purchase for only .25 cents anytime using the honor system. Plus we have tables and chairs to rest and eat on, coffee maker, water cooler and more.
